This past Saturday night, CUB Programming held Ship’s Got Talent in McFeeley’s Coffeehouse.
Two males and five females competed for a panel of their peers to win some awesome prizes.
Poetry was read, comedy was spoken, dances were danced and songs were sung.
The judges deliberated and picked three winners.
In third place, and the winner of a $10 iTunes Gift Card, was Jonathan Quann with his comedy and poetry performance. Quann asked the audience for topics and made hilarious poetic jokes about them.
In second place, and the winner of a $10 Applebee’s Gift Card, was Brett Warfel who played guitar and sung. His choice of songs, however, was very different than you would expect. Warfel covered ‘Hey Ya’ by Outkast, ‘The Remix to Ignition’ by R. Kelly, and ‘Fantasy’ by Ludacris.
And finally, the winner of Ship’s Got Talent is… TARA KENNEDY! Kennedy played three songs on the guitar, including an original song, ‘Wrecking Ball’ by Miley Cyrus, and ‘Grenade’ by Bruno Mars. She won $250 and her own show on November 23rd.
