SHIPPENSBURG – As the season changes and the temperature drops, students on the Shippensburg campus are bundling up to stay warm and healthy. According to the nurses at Etter Health Center, it’s never too late to start preparing for those seasonal sniffles and flu-like symptoms.
The health center is providing flu shots for the campus during October. Students’ next opportunity to receive a flu shot is from Tuesday, Oct. 28 through Thursday, Oct. 30 in the Cedia Union Building.
Along with preparing for flu season, Etter Health Center provides other services that are covered in student’s health fee. A service called “self care” allows students to have access to over the counter medications at no additional cost. Students can also make an appointment to see a doctor if needed.
To schedule an appointment students can call the health center at (717) 477-1458. Regular hours are 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The health center doctor is only on campus between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
