SHIPPENSBURG- The Sheetz on East King Street has been granted a liquor license by a Cumberland County judge. The store re-opened in July and started selling beer. The Civic Club of Shippensburg raised concerns about a liquor license being granted to and establishment that sells gas. The judge ruled that because Sheetz property is subdivided into two units, each has separate tax assessments, real estate numbers and addresses. This separation allows for the sale of gas and alcohol. This store is now the second Sheetz location to sell beer in Pennsylvania.
