SHIPPENSBURG – For years when people heard the address 105 West King Street, they would instantly think of the Ship Wreck. But during the past year that restaurant was under renovation, converting into the growing food service chain, Arooga’s.
The entire building received a cosmetic overhaul. A brand new kitchen and more than one hundred televisions have been installed, and forty beer taps are available. The management and staff are no strangers to the fact that Shippensburg is a college town, and they have taken appropriate measures.
“We’re gonna have an Arooga’s bar side and a college bar side called the Parrot. It’s very exciting, everything’s new, great food, brand new kitchen, it’s a very exciting place,” says the Arooga’s manager.
Arooga’s opened for business Wednesday, Oct. 29, and in celebration is offering free wings to the first fifty people through the door for a whole year. The management and staff welcome the citizens of Shippensburg to a friendly and relaxed eating environment.
