Salsa Dancing with MESA

SHIPPENSBURG – The multi-ethnic student association, or mesa, is an organization that strives to promote multi-racial awareness. One of the ways they encourage learning about multiple races and cultures is through dance workshops. Mesa held a salsa-dancing workshop on November 6, where students learned how to salsa, what the dance style says about Spanish culture, and, of course, had fun. Spanish dance isn’t the only style mesa will be tackling.

“In March we’re doing Irish clog dancing if we’re able to make that happen. And in February we’re doing African dancing and hip-hop. So, we’re really looking forward to seeing how this works out and looking forward to doing more” says MESA Vice President Seth Baker.

MESA welcomes all students who are interested to join their organization. If you are intrigued and want to get more information, contact MESA at 717-477-1616 or at sale.ship.edu.
