SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – SUTV NEWS—Some Ship students are upset and questioning the honesty and integrity of the college party company, I’m Shmacked. Social media buzz indicated that I’m Shmacked would be hosting a party last weekend at University Grille. After much controversy, this party was cancelled.
University Grille cancelled the event after Shippensburg Chief of Police, Fred Scott, advised the staff against the party. “To bring these organizations in the middle of my town, I don’t have the resources to handle that,” said Scott. The party was going to host 200-250 people; Scott was concerned the location was too small.
Police may be relieved that the party was cancelled, but students are not. Shippensburg student Chad Ritter says, “I bought a t-shirt for $25 thinking I was going to an event. Now the event is cancelled? I want my money back.” Student’s are not the only people upset with I’m Shmacked, founder, Jeffery ‘YoFray’ Ray is too.
Ray tweeted “Since when did you have to buy an I’m Shmacked t-shirt to be in the video? Shadyyyyyy.” Ray was upset that students needed a t-shirt to enter the event. In the past, I’m Shmacked t-shirts were an option, not a requirement to attend the party.
