Greek Week at SU

SHIPPENSBURG: This week on Shippensburg University campus is Greek Week. Students who are part of the Greek community will compete in various events to see who is the best fraternity or sorority.

SUTV News contributor and Pi Lamda Phi member Louis Desanto explained, “It can get very competitive though. My fraternity, pi lambda phi, takes it very seriously and practices weeks in advance. The best event is the lip sync on Thursday night.” He encouraged everyone both Greek and independent to come watch the lip sync event in memorial auditorium this Thursday at 7:30.

“It gives a chance for everyone to set aside their differences and come together and support each other”

Greek Students will be seen around campus all week sporting their Organizations letters. Each Team also made personalized banners for a banner contest. The banners are hanging in the cub for students to admire.

Other events range from a dodge ball tournament, an eating contest, water balloon fights, trivia, as well as various sporting activities around campus. Students who have interest in joining Greek life should attend events to see what each organization is all about.
