A recap of CBS’s annual airing of the 2015 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

The annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show that aired Tuesday night is a holiday highlight every November. This year’s show was hosted by Lexington Avenue Armory in New York.
Performances by Selena Gomez, The Weeknd and Ellie Goulding made the event more than just about the Angels. Rihanna was initially included, but cancelled for unknown reasons.
America watched a new team of Angels get their wings, featuring Taylor Hill, Jasmine Tookes, Kate Grigorieva, Elsa Hosk, Lais Ribeiro, Sara Sampaio, Jac Jagaciak, Romee Strijd, Martha Hunt, and Stella Maxwell. Familiar supermodel faces on the catwalk included Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Lily Aldridge, Behati Prinsloo, Adriana Lima, and Alessandra Ambrosio.
Victoria’s Secret ended the show by choosing Angel Lily Aldridge to wear their “Fireworks Fantasy Bra,” costing roughly $2 million. The bra featured a detachable belt decked out with over 6,500 gems including diamonds, blue topaz, yellow sapphires and pink quartz all set in 18-karat gold.
Although the show was successful, ratings say otherwise. The supermodel extravaganza was down 32% among adults 18-49 from last year’s show. While the second-highest-rated show of the night, it was low for the Fashion Show and CBS, which has broadcasted the event since 2002. The previous low was a 2.6 rating back in 2007.
