Track and Field Teams Come Back Hot

By: Jamison Barker

SHIPPENSBURG– The Red Raiders Track and Field teams braved inclement weather to travel to Bucknell to compete in the Gulden invitational this past weekend. With impressive performances across the board the Men locked up the second overall spot, scoring 76 points to Division 1 Bucknell’s 82 and finishing in front of division one Duquesne. The meet served as a way to shake off the rust of a 6-week layoff, but more important it serves as a measuring stick for the Red Raiders moving forward. With outdoor season nearing, the Division 1 competition the Raiders faced will help prepare them for their own PSAC gauntlet. The team is in action this week, but split up with some of the team headed to Penn State for the National Elite Invitational and the rest headed back to Bucknell for a second helping.
