Swim team at PSAC Championships

Shippensburg — The men’s and women’s swim team are in York, Pa this weekend participating in the 2016 PSAC Championships with 27 swimmers. The women’s team took a young squad, 11 of the 15 swimmers are underclassman. The men’s two seniors swimming, Jake Dunnigan and Stefan Szilagyi, combine for 12 individual wins this season. Coach Verge is confident in the teams abilities and encourages the enthusiasm the swimmers have about the weekend’s races. The teams continue competition through Sunday.

Final Results:

The men’s team finished in sixth place overall. Jake Dunnigan broke the school record for the 200-yard breaststroke.

The women’s team finished in fifth place overall. The 400-yard freestyle relay swam by Rikki Sargent, Carolyn Meier, Nollaig Noll and Sidney Owens, reached an All-PSAC finish of third place.
