NRHH Plants Trees for Arbor Day

SHIPPENSBURG- The National Residence Hall Honorary Anchor Chapter (NRHH) at Shippensburg University is planting trees in honor of Arbor Day. They will plant trees all across campus, from Naugle Hall to Harley Field.

The NRHH has been planting trees on campus for more than 3 years, planting more than 200 trees last year. The association’s vice chancellor Shelby Young hopes this activity brings more color to campus, “We’re doing this on our campus because we want to make our campus beautiful,”Young says.

Arbor Day is the world-wide celebration of planting and taking care of trees. This day is celebrated across the world in 41 countries.

The NRHH will plant trees Friday, April 29th in Naugle Hall and Harley Field. If you’re interested in joining the activity, contact the NRHH at: nrhh@ship.edu
