The Women’s soccer team took on the Seton Hill Griffins Wednesday after a tough loss at Gannon.

SHIPPENSBURG — The Seton Hill Griffin’s got on the board first, early in the game with a goal from Katie Kimmich.
Ship’s offense countered with two quick goals. Ashley Weaver scored her third for the season and first of the night from 20 yrds out and Casey Wrightmyer scored her second of the season off of the assist from Kate Hartner and Emily Brown.
The Griffins came back to even out the score at two late in the half.
Quick footwork and solid defense from both teams kept most of the second half scoreless.
Eleven minutes left in the game Weaver stopped the game from going into overtime with her second goal of the night.
Ship defeated Seton Hill 3-2.
The team will take on Mercyhurst Saturday at 4.
