Students Question University Officials
SHIP – President Jody Harpster and other university officials met with students Tuesday evening for president’s hour. Student’s questioned Harpster about the impending APSCUF strike and he voiced his uncertainty regarding the outcome. Harpster said in his 21 years at Shippensburg strike threats have arisen five times, but this is the first time a strike date has been set. The president concluded by saying days missed due to strike will be treated like snow days. APSCUF is set to strike on October 19th. The university announced attendance will not be taken in the event of a strike, therefore students are not obligated to attend.
