SHIPPENSBURG – The artwork of the Shippensburg Art Department has made its way into the university’s library. Professor Steven Dolbin and the Art Department’s sculpture students have turned the showcase section of the library into a hall of faces. The aptly named exhibition, Face-Off dispays sculptural works inspired by hollywood special effects with the human face as a template.
The faces themselves were made from clay being pushed life plaster casts of a human face. Many of the faces seen in the gallery seem to provide social commentary about college life in general while others exhibit fantastical ideas typical only seen in a Hollywood blockbuster.
The Face-Off exhibition will be displayed in the library until February sixteenth.
