SHIPPENSBURG- Ballroom dancing has been a phenomenon the past couple of years, with shows such as ABC’s Dancing with the Stars and FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance? People are learning this energetic dance skill for their entertainment and fitness. The Luhrs Performing Arts Center is offering spring Ballroom Dance lessons once again. The class have already begun and are every Monday until April 24. Singles and couples are welcomed to learn new dances with the cost being $35 per person for the 6-class course.
Frank Hancock, who is a seasoned dance instructor, will be instructing these lessons. He will teach you popular ballroom dance choreography where you will perform on the Luhrs Center stage
No prior ballroom dance experience is required. There will be two classes offered for “Beginner” and “Advanced” skill levels. The Beginner’s class starts at 5:30PM to learn the Tango, Cha Cha, Swing, and Foxtrot. While the Advanced class starts at 6:30PM to learn the Mambo, Two-Step, Waltz, and Rumba.
