The annual Statewide event is sponsored by Afro-Am and the Multicultural Student Affairs Department, and students are being encouraged to attend.
“We started the unity weekend because it was a diversity push to bring students at Shippensburg University together or from different cultures,” said Diane L. Jefferson, Multicultural Student Affairs Director.
Such events as the Afro-Am MSA UMOJA Unity Leadership Conference which will be held this Saturday April 22 from 8-4:30 in the Dauphin Humanities Center, and Afro-Am UMOJA Statewide Block Party from 8-7 in the CUB Amphitheater are among the festivities.
