SHIPPENSBURG- The Art and Design Department at Shippensburg University is currently hosting a new art exhibit titled “Drawn to Form: Doodles, Drawings and Dimensions.” This exhibit features two dimensional and three dimensional artworks by Ian Stewart. He is based in Toronto, Ontario Canada, and is a graphic designer and furniture designer.
This exhibit features fun and whimsical three dimensional sculptures and two dimensional drawings. It allows the viewers to see what the possibilities are with simple doodles.
Professor Will Whiteley, who is the Chairman of the Art and Design Department, and Ian Stewart were colleagues at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). They keep in contact with each other after knowing each other for 17 years.
Ian Stewart will be hosting a workshop on Friday, September 22 from 9am to 3pm. This workshop is open to all Shippensburg students. There is a five-dollar fee, which holds your spot since spaces are limited. Once you complete the workshop, you will get reimbursed.
