Ship Holds Undefeated Record Against Lock Haven Saturday

Ship holds undefeated record topping Lock Haven 37 to 6.

SHIPPENBURG — Ship Football Beat Lock Haven on Saturday 37 to 6.  Ship started the game scoring in the first play with a fumble recovery for a touchdown from Junior Tyler Emge.  Senior quarterback Ryan Zapoticky scored in the first half with a half with a pass to Sophomore Kyle Haines.  Senior Billy Dean then got a field goal less than five minutes left in the quarter.  Senior Colin McDermott got a 2 yard red zone run making the score 24-3 going into the half.

Kyle Haines scored again receiving a 28 yard pass from Ryan Zapoticky.  Ship then scored in the beginning of the 4th quarter with a 4 yard run from Colin Mcdermott to get the final score of 37 to 6.

Junior defensive Lineman Dakota Thompson got three sack for the raiders for which he earned PSAC east defensive player of the week. Sophomore linebacker Tig Spinelli led the Red Raiders with 9 tackles.  Junior Marcus Lominy led the raiders with 65 yards rushing.  Senior running back Cole Chiappielle made his return to the field having not played last two games.

Ships next game is home this Saturday against West Chester.
