Ship Field Hockey to Host PSAC Championship

Semifinals match-up may start an offensive showdown.

SHIPPENSBURG- Shippensburg University’s field hockey team is ranked number one and will be hosting the 2017 PSAC Championships this weekend. The semifinals will kick off on Friday at 1 with Shippensburg against West Chester ranked at number seven.

Tickets for all rounds of the tournament have been set at $10 for adults, $5 for students, and free for all students of PSAC schools with their student ID card. The game will be at the Robb Sports Complex.

Shippensburg has finished in top three in the PSAC regular season for the 17th consecutive year. The Raiders and Golden Rams will face each other for the second year in a row in the semifinals.

The top three goal scorers will be on the field this weekends- Ship’s seniors Emily Barnard and Rachel Toppi and West Chester’s junior Kaitlin Hatch.

The winners will play in the championship game Sunday at 1.
