SHIPPENSBURG- This past Tuesday, the career center held a Resume Boot Camp. With their resumes in hand, students lined up to meet with real world employers and discuss how to improve their writing.
Employers know it’s not easy to construct the perfect resume, let alone boast about yourself. Graduate assistant, Jocelyn Chabous, explains that she finds many students leave out much detail on their resumes that would actually make them better.
Experiences such as campus jobs, shadowing, and even volunteer work will catch the eye of future employers. It’s always a good idea to have a separate pair of eyes glance over your resume. What may seem ready to you, may seem average to someone else.
Having much success, the career center plans to continue this event and encourages students to attend next spring.
