PYEONGCHANG – Team USA is fresh off a successful run at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.
From snowboarding alone, the US nabbed seven medals; with Shaun White, Chloe Kim, Jamie Anderson and Redmond Gerard getting the gold. Other gold medal performances came from Mikaela Shiffrin (Giant Shalom), David Wise (Halfpipe Skiing), Women’s Cross-Country Skiing, Women’s Hockey, and a surprising one from Men’s Curling.
Of the remaining 14 medals, eight were silver and six were bronze.
This year, the United States finished fourth in the medal count standings with 23 medals. At the top was Norway, with 39 medals overall and 14 of them gold. Rounding out the top three are Germany with 31 and Canada with 29 medals overall.
