SHIPPENSBURG-The Oscars have come and gone, but they did not disappoint.
The show was hosted by, for the second year, Jimmy Kimmel. Among the big winners were ‘The Shape of Water’ for best picture and Gary Oldman won a leading role in ‘The Darkest Hour’.
The impressing movie ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri’ helped Frances McDormand win best actress lead and Sam Rockwell won best actor in supporting role. Best supporting actress went to Allison Janney for her role in ‘I, Tonya’ about the 1994 figure skater attack. Followed by Disneys ‘Coco’ wo best animated film feature and Jordan Peeles ‘Get Out’ won best original screen play.
Overall the night was a success for many and we look forward to what the new year will bring.
