SHIPPENSBURG – Earlier this week, the Fashion Archives and Museum of Shippensburg University gave students and faculty a sneak peak of its new exhibit The Fashions of Fiction.
The exhibit explores the role of clothing across famous works of American, British and French fiction, including Jane Eyre, The Age of Innocence and The Great Gatsby.
The articles of fashion displayed provide insight into the current trends and lives of people during the time of a book’s publication.
The Fashions of Fiction will open to the general public beginning Saturday, April 14. Admission price is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, and free for SU students and faculty.
