SAN FRANCISCO – The Food and Drug Administration, has called the use of Electronic Cigarettes and tobacco style vape pens an epidemic among teenagers.
Juul, the e-cigarette company is under investigation by the FDA for intentionally targeting underage teenagers when marketing its devices.
Warning letters have been sent to over 1,300 retailers.
The FDA is also partnering up with eBay to remove existing and prevent future listings for Juul products on its website, according to the announcement, since the vapes often find their way to kids through resellers.
