SUTV Leaders 2018


General Manager : Paige Arensmeyer

Paige Arensmeye is a Junior in the Communications/Journalism department with an Electronic Media emphasis from Clarksburg, MD. She recently spent two weeks in Haiti to film a documentary and help build a hospital. Her favorite movie is the Wizard of Oz.


Executive Producer: Isabella Marcellino

As Executive Producer, Isabella Marcellino oversees the entire show and makes sure it runs smoothly. She comes up with new and exciting ideas for the show, as well as every weeks rundown.

Isabella joined SUTV fall of 2015. Throughout her time in SUTV she has taken the positions of the Weather Anchor, Desk Anchor, News Director and PR Director.

Isabella grew up in Frederick, MD where she attended Linganore High School.

Isabella is a Junior with a dual emphasis in Public Relations and Electronic Media at Shippensburg University.

She someday hopes to be a news anchor on the Today Show or produce for a TV show.

In her free time, Isabella loves to exercise and dance. Her favorite foods are pasta and steak. Isabella loves the TV show, The Office, and she could probably recite the episodes word by word if she had to.


News Director: Katie Sweigart

Katie Sweigart is Sophomore in the Communications/Journalism department originally from Hershey, PA. Her favorite place to travel is Hilton Head Island in South Carolina and one day she hopes to be the desk anchor for a big city.


Entertainment Director: Kyla Piper

Kyla Piper is from Waynesboro, PA, majoring in Communications/Journalism. Her favorite place to vacation in the Florida Keys and loves all Netflix movies.


Sports Director & Live Events Producer: Avery Quinn

Avery is a Junior in the Communications/Journalism department and is from Lititz, PA. Avery’s favorite food is steak and he loves to vacation in Disney World. He also collects yo-yo’s.


Web/PR Executive Producer : Dani Banda

Dani Banda joined SUTV in the fall of 2017.

She grew up in Brookeville, MD where she attended Sherwood High School, and was a part of the Chambers choir and Rock N Roll Revival. Throughout high school, she spent weekends playing gigs with her band, Exit 2-16.

Dani is a junior studying Comm/Journ Electronic Media at Shippensburg University.

In her free time, Dani likes to sing, crochet, take photographs and play with her bearded dragon Blaze.

Dani is a honest person who hates making promises. She is proud of the work she makes and loves any food involving crab.


Web/PR Executive Producer: Christy Digiandomenico

Christy Digiandomenico joined SUTV in the fall of 2016. She then was the Entertainment Anchor in the fall of 2017.

Christy is a senior majoring in Art with a concentration in Graphic Design, and minoring in Comm/Journ and Business at Shippensburg University. On top of being part of SUTV, she is also the Lamp Editor in her sorority, Delta Zeta.

As of now, Christy would love to work with Disney in the creative department or in New York City with a Graphic Design firm.

Christy held her first art exhibit in the summer of 2017 at the Hazleton Art League of Watercolor Paintings and Digital Fine Art Prints.

Meet the Anchors: Spring 2018



News Desk: Gillian Mencken and Jake Gillespie

Gillian Mencken is a junior Communication/Journalism with a focus in electronic media major. She is from Plymouth Meeting, PA.

As a freshman, she got involved with SUTV with taking stories for the weekly broadcast. She finds that her position as co-news anchor is important as she is able to grow as a person and leader while developing skills to use in her future career. A fun fact about Gillian is that she likes to dye the ends of her hair different colors!

Jake Gillespie is a senior Communication/Journalism major from Pottsville, PA.

During Jake’s time here with SUTV, he held multiple positions with the team- General Manager, Executive Producer, Weather Anchorman, and Sports Anchor. Two of his strengths that has helped with SUTV are problem-solving and comic relief. He hopes to be a TV News Producer in his future.

One memorable moment for Jake was being able to achieve and produce the Special Edition Strike Broadcast, Fall 2016. He is proud of all the hard work everyone at SUTV accomplishes.

World News: Brandon Kyc

From Sayre, PA, Brandon Kyc is a freshman Communication/Journalism major. As the World News Anchor, he feels as though it is good to know what is happening in other parts of the world. Brandon likes how SUTV allows him to get an idea of what it is like to be part of a TV studio. He has a love for World War II history, which is perfect as the World News Anchor.

Know Your Ship: Katie Babinski

Katie Babinski is a junior Communication/Journalism major with a minor in criminal justice. She was always involved with SUTV but really got into it her junior year fall semester. Katie loves creating and editing video to tell a story. In the future, she has big plans to work in the criminal justice field dealing with the public.

Besides being part of SUTV, Katie is on Shippensburg Women’s Rugby team, a brother of Alpha Phi Omega, and has a radio show with Liz Vinette. Her favorite movie is A Walk to Remember.

Entertainment: Liz Vinette

As the senior Communication/Journalism major with minors in Art and French, Liz Vinette delivers the weekly entertainment for us. Liz loves how SUTV is like a big family and everyone is so helpful to one another. One memory that she enjoyed with SUTV is the annual Thanksgiving Dinner we have after the broadcast.

As well as being involved with SUTV, Liz is also part of the Shippensburg Women’s Rugby team.

A dream she has is to live in France in the future.

Weather: Megan Talley

From Boiling Springs, PA, Megan Talley is a freshman Communication/Journalism major with a concentration in Electronic Media. As part of SUTV, she enjoys how she can learn all of the production jobs as a freshman.

Megan keeps herself busy along with SUTV. She is also part of the Shippensburg University Marching Band and concert band and Kappa Kappa Psi- National Honorary Band Fraternity.

Tangled is Megan’s favorite movie, and she loves Broadway musicals.
